Simberon will be running open enrollment courses in late January and early February, 2006. Here are the courses being offered.

Jan 30 - Feb 3, 2006: Experiencing Design Patterns

Learn the 23 design patterns from the Gang of Four book with an emphasis on benefits, limitations and experiences with the patterns. This is a no-hype course that provides hands-on experience with the patterns while showing where they work well and where they don't. This course is intended for software developers who use Smalltalk, Java or C#.

Feb 6 - Feb 9, 2006: Agile Software Design

Agile software development improves the process you use for development (test driven design, pair programming, continuous integration, etc.) as well as the quality, simplicity and maintainability of the code you develop. This course shows you how to follow the process and techniques to use to simplify your code and make it malleable. This course is intended for software developers who use Smalltalk, Java or C#.

Feb 16 - Feb 17, 2006: A Quick Look at Smalltalk

This 2 day course allows programmers to learn what Smalltalk is all about without taking a full 5-day Introduction to Smalltalk course. It quickly presents the basics of Smalltalk and lets the developers use the language and environment to develop a simple application. Learning Smalltalk gives you a new perspective on object oriented development. This course is aimed at programmers who don't know much about Smalltalk but are curious to see what it's all about.

To register for these courses, visit the Simberon web site or e-mail info@simberon.com.
