IBM had a great set of tools for developing applications - and they gave it to these guys. So what are the guys in their "emerging technology" group looking at now?

Q: Which technology is your group currently looking at developing in the next few months?

A: Right now, we are looking at PHP [a programming language like Java and XML] in particular—we like it as a technology and community. Lots of open-source communities out there are thriving and a lot of those communities are in PHP. We are working with Zend Corporation which is one of the leaders in PHP technology.

Like Java and XML? Sheesh. Nice to see the forward thinkers at IBM stepping into the Wayback Machine.
