So Sony wants to protect their IP do they? Interesting. I would have thought the bands that made the music are the ones that are most invested in their own IP.. guess I'm mistaken.

Well, alls I can say is that Sony/BMG has succeeded in protecting their IP. No one I know is going to buy their CD's for fear that their gawd aweful copy protection crap will get installed on their computer.

But Sony/BMG protected their IP on another level too - they didn't join iTunes. So now there's no way to buy their music at all. You can't get it in iTunes and you can't get it safely on CD.

Job well done to the IP protection group as Sony/BMG, you've out done yourselves.

.. hmm.. may be I won't bother buying a Playstation 3 after all ..
