Feed Description: Random musings from Andy Hunt of the Pragmatic Programmers
Okay, in no particular order, here were my favorite things from FOO camp:
1. Ward Cunningham’s flag-waving robot built using a $1.50 programmable microcontroller and 2 RC motors.
2. A fascinating discussion I had that explains why (from a neuroscience perspective) geeks are so eternally optimistic when it comes to estimation. More on that later.
3. Desk-based 3D fabrication technologies. Okay, still a ways off from being able to print a robot on your printer and have it get up and walk away, but they’re able to print zinc-air batteries :-). It’s a start.
4. The future of printing and media. One of us must be right, the tricky part is figuring out who.
All in all, a great time. Looking forward to next year.
