For the past few weeks (I think), my laptop hasn't been properly entering standby mode or hibernate mode. Well, actually, it seems to enter fine but within about 10 seconds, it powers back up. When I put it into standby, it shuts everything down nicely but within 10 seconds, it turns the lights back on and turns the fan on, but keeps the screen blacked out until I touch the trackpad. For Hibernate, as soon as it enters hibernate state, it resumes and comes out. Does anyone out there have any ideas? I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2. It fails even with no devices connected at all. Ideas?
