Cincom’s Smalltalk Team Welcomes BottomFeeder to the Add-ons and Applications Program

CINCINNATI, Ohio - August 10, 2005 - Cincom Systems announced today that BottomFeeder, an RSS/Atom news aggregator written in Cincom Smalltalk VisualWorks for the purpose of reading syndicated content, has joined the Cincom Smalltalk Add-ons and Applications Program. The newly announced program is designed to promote applications written in Cincom Smalltalk and increase awareness for the wide variety of applications and industries using Smalltalk.

BottomFeeder supports all of the relevant standards in the RSS/Atom arena including all versions of RSS and Atom and the various methods for communicating with websites (Trackback, Pingback, RSS Text Input, and Comment API). It's a client news aggregator that allows you to easily track news, blogs, and product information. Tied in with all of the major search engines, BottomFeeder enables subscriptions to user-defined searches and allows end-users to define connections to other search engines as they appear.
