This site has been running Silt since 2002, but there's nothing like the reality check you get when someone else decides to try your code out. A few months back Steve Kelly decided to run a blog on his server, and he found a whole raft of assumptions in the code that I had made. More importantly, he offered fixes for them :) More recently, Troy has been looking Silt over for the marketing group - they would like another knowledgeable person internally, and Troy is in Cincinnati to boot. There have been some edits to the set up page for Silt as a result, and I've refreshed the download zip file to include a configuration file I forgot (a flaw that Troy spotted).
Until other people use your code, you really don't have a god feel for whether it's easy/hard to use.
