So Microsoft is giving Longhorn the name "Windows Vista". Hmm, I wonder if they have the primary meaning in mind (from Merriam-Webster):

a distant view through or along an avenue or opening

Given the current delivery plan, "distant" might be accurate :) Then again, I should talk - we made the mistake of calling the VW 7 release (which was quite late) "Godot" :)
