I'm on my way home from the meeting as I write this - green line metro, specifically. We had a good meeting, with a more in depth follow up scheduled for late August (too many people, including me, are away for the early part of the month).
It's been a long time since I took metro to this area (Arlington, VA), and it's a lot better than it was back in the late 90's when I did consulting work at this particular customer's shop. Back then, the green line didn't go through, and the route to Arlington from Greenbelt (closest station to where I live) was a not terribly exciting dash of multiple train changes. Now it's simple - green to L'Enfant Plaza, then orange over to Arlington. Much more pleasant, and faster than driving.
I'm feeling pretty good about our meeting - these folks are on an older version of our product, and looking at what it would take to update. There are a lot of new things (new to them, anyway :) ) that they can take advantage of, so we'll see how it goes. Now if I can just get back to my car without melting (90+ degrees, with high humidity. ick)...
