I recently added a settings page to the Silt server - blog administrators can go in and modify a number of the options - here's a portion of the screen:

Those are a subset of the server options, but they allow the blogger to change things. The ones that need some explanation are:

• Show Posts by Numeric Limit - by default, the server shows the last N days of posting. For people like me (who post regularly), that's fine. For others, who post infrequently, showing the last N posts instead of the last N days worth is a better option
• Show Category Summary View - what that does is make the view shown here into the default for a blog. This is useful if you limit your categories.

The other options should be pretty self explanatory. I'll trawl through the server options and see what else ought to be added.
