I had a few people as me about what my plans are for BottomFeeder in the next release, so I sat down and made a little list - here's the top things I'm planning to get done before I release 4.0:

  • Tabbed browsing. I'd like to have the "browse in BottomFeeder" menu option be able to go to a tab, and I'd like to have ite browsing be able to stick that way as well
  • Better detection of online status, and of the nasty "redirect all my feeds" thing that can hit you in a temporal connection (like a 24 hour hotel buy)
  • Reorganize the various search options into a single wizard screen
  • Create a "define your own feed builder" wizard that can support new feed services

None of those will be particularly hard, but they should make the tool nicer
