So Microsoft Code Camp, which I just got back from absolutely rocked!! We got over 500 local developers to come on a Saturday and Sunday. Our New England Microsoft area is already one of the best in the world due to the superb leadership of Thom Robbins and Joe Stagner, who did a fantastic job. I did 3 talks (in one day!) yesterday all of them to a packed auditorium. I did COM Interop, Introduction to Mobile Development with the Whidbey Compact Framework 2.0, and CLR Internals. I feel I was at my best and the talks were extremely well received producing high marks according to Thom. Thank you to all the many people who attended my talks and events and asked so many great questions. I will be posting my talks and code on http://samgentile.com/ soon and they will be sent to Thom and Joe to include on the code camp master site. There were so many great speakers there including Scott Watermasysk, Kent Tegels, Jason Bock, Don Demsak, Chris Bowen, Thom Robbins, Chris Pels, Richard Hale Shaw, Carl Franklin, and more.
I also had the privilege of hanging out with Shoshanna Budzianowski and Catherine Heller, two awesome gals from the VSTO team both in the speaker room and last night at the Westin. I have been doing some cool experiments with VSTO Whidbey that I can't talk about public-ally and it was great to bounce ideas around. There will also be some scary pictures out there that were taken-) I promised Shoshanna that I wouldn't say anything to get her in trouble with her team but I must mention her unique presentation attire that she is proud of: leather pants and red shoes! Very unique. Anyhow, these two really did a great job representing VSTO and Microsoft out here and we are very grateful that they came out.
