What can I say? It's only yesterday, it seems, that we were holding him in our arms and now we were at the street corner waiting for the bus on his first day of school. It's been hitting Sue fairly hard. The elementary school did a really cute thing: they gathered all the first graders and us parents in the auditorium, had the kids hand us Kleenex's telling us “we'll be OK” and then marched through a bridge that the parents made with their hands over them, singing “Hi Ho”. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So he's off to start his life. In other news, Jonathan and I both have pre-surgery appointments later this morning as we both have surgery, with the same doctor on the same day, back-to-back,on the 15th of this month. Blogging may be non-existent in the 2nd half of this month as my recovery is 1-2 weeks and painful. I haven't decided about the first part of the month since I am so busy and other factors about the relative worth of the blog.
