Feed Description: This is a log of my findings and amusements with .NET. I also present information on my presentations and others that I see.
As I've said before, I'm not much of an infrastructure guy. And tonight, I proved it again. I have a new Windows XP machine and had been working under the Administrator account. Due to a sudden Outlook issue (not able to connect to our Exchange server), I created another account in order to have a fresh profile. After I made the account and logged in, the Adminstrator account seem to disappear from the login screen and even from the User Accounts screen. At first, I thought maybe this was some new security feature in Windows XP, but after doing some reading I found that this has been a standard feature in Windows XP. And then I found this MCSEworld site which included some background facts and a way to enable the Administrator's account.
