Feed Description: A technology blog for people enlightened enough to think for themselves
I have several really long threads on my blog (like my Xbox/HDTV thread, SQLCE programming, etc) that have a lot of good questions where I've provided pretty detailed answers. My question to the technical blogging community is: At what point do you start telling people to read the threads instead of duplicating answers to questions in your blogs?
For example, I get 2-3 questions per week on my SQLCE programming post. Invariably, each one of them asks "What is a 28037 error?" (or some derivative). This question has been asked and answered in this thread over 25 times, and I've politely answered each one individually up to now.
I don't want to lose readers, but what's the "fine line" between supporting the readers and asking them to do a little work themselves?
Thoughts from technical bloggers would be appreciated.
