I got this mail from my brother, thought it would be good to share it around.
I'm sending this to all of my collegues because I think we all must put some attention
to the root of the story.
I have a friend living at Jubilee post ,Nugeogoda , few blocks away from where
I stay. He has a Hardware shop by the side of Stanlythilakratne Mawatha, and his house
is behind the shop , a 2 story well built modern house.
Last week the whole house was burn down to ash. It was a Sunday and around 2.00
in the afternoon he has gone to the service station his mother was at home and the
upstairs master bedroom there has been a smoke coming out of the air conditioner.
mother has gone upstairs and opened the bedroom door to see the whole room in
massive fire.
It has got worse and by the time the fire brigade came the whole house was burnt.Nothing
left. Upto now his mother is suffering from shock. They have lost jewelry, furniture
and all clothes nothing left for them to wear even. since they are business people
there had been lots of money in side the house. any way, now they have to start everything
from beginning.
The fire brigade Inspectors have told them the reason for the fire is the mobile
phone charger, His father has kept the phone on the charger the earlier night and
had not unplugged . It had got heated up and started the fire (on the bed side cupboard)
In a matter of minutes they lost every things they had. But unfortunately
mostly every one of us do that in our house/office . we do not pay much attention
to the phone charger we use, it is mostly plugged for our convenience ,The heated
up charger has the chance of starting a fire depending on the surface we keep
it .This is what has happened at my friend's place . The fire chief has told
them that this has become a common problem and that they have discovered many incidents
like this.
I thought of sending this message to you because I remember few weeks back we received
a similar e mail but foreign origin. This is not a false alarm if any one wants to
see this or talk to them, This is at Jubilee post juction, Nugegoda.
I hope this message will mean something to every one of us.
Good day to you,
from
Shalini.
