Two Linux distros are recently released live CDs which come with Mono,
a open source implantation of .Net framework, along with MonoDevelop an
IDE for it. Pretty cool. I wanted to check out MonoDevelop. This is a cool way to
try it out. You can pick Monoppix or Gnoppix.
Gnoppix is the GNOME version of the popular Knoppix.
While Monoppix is specifically designed for Mono. Monoppix has only a preview release
though find it here.
By the way like Stefano Demiliani is asking where
is a Free Linux Live CD with Java and a Java IDE (preferably Eclipse)
pre-installed?
