I'm currently sitting next to Roger Jennings, who's the author of the forthcoming Microsoft Press book Introducing Microsoft InfoPath. Roger tells me that this is the only book on the market that includes the significant changes in the programming model introduced in Service Pack 1, including the InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio. Roger's got a great website with samples and articles, and if you've been starting to explore InfoPath you'd do well to look at his site. If you've not heard of InfoPath yet, it's one of the newest members of the Office System, and is an XML forms engine that you can use for building rich electronic forms-based applications. As Roger says on his site, the process of creating an InfoPath template is not dissimilar to that of Access Forms programming, with the difference that the resulting XML data can be used in conjunction with a web service or a product such as BizTalk Server to provide a seamless data integration solution. Anyway - stop reading this and go and look at Roger's site!
