Been experimenting with the Outlook Managed Alerts code from the MSDN article and getting a strange problem with Virtual PC. When Outlook gets an Alert email it calls the GetAlerts() web service. Ive found that Outlook doesnt invoke the web service when the VPC is standalone with no external network (the web service works OK from a browser) ... everything works perfectly when the VPC is on a network. Wierd ??
