I read about an interesting book community site called allconsuming.net aimed at generating communites of readers, reading lists and recommendations. You can submit your current book list and recommendations for others to see, as well as have the site search your blog for book information in your posts. They also provide hourly XML feeds so that you can see what's new with other readers, as well as JavaScript to insert in your website to automate the display of your reading list to your site. In additon, they also support the Amazon Associates Program, so books purchased via your link will be eligible for the Amazon referral fee.

As the membership grows I can see this rivaling a similar service on Amazon.com - with a more focused community. Thanks to for pointing this site out
