While still decades off, scientists have been able to build a DNA computer that basically lives within human cells. This computer is made up of enzymes which can manipulate DNA. The end goal is to be able to have the DNA computer insert molecular markers inside the human body once disease is found (even before tumors or damage is evident by today's testing techniques).

In the example of cancer, once the disease is detected at a molecular level, a molecule similar to an anti-cancer drug can be administered by the DNA computer to destroy the cancerous cells - all without the need for invasive biopsies or chemotherapy.
