On Internet Archive, you can find an interesting section related to Computer chronicles.

The one I was curious about today is the famous interview made in April 1999 with Bill Gates. A lot of preminition there, including the 'hand held computers'.

Resume:

An up close and personal profile of Microsoft chairman Bill Gates. Includes comments by John Gage, Sun Microsystems; David Kirkpatrick, Fortune Magazine; Tony Perkins, Red Herring; Mitchell Kertzman, Liberate Technologies; Alex Vieux, Dasar.

This episode was originally aired during the fierce MS vs. US Government battle, and oddly Bill Gates has never come off more cool and relaxed. He talks about not wanting to be an old man running MS, mentions that up until now everything they have done has been a warm-up to the real work, and how easy it can be for companies like MS to fade away unless they stay aggressive and innovative. The Sun Micro dude makes an odd remark near the end that basically states MS, in 2003, will not be making desktop OS's and instead concentrate on "hand-held appliances" and server platforms.
