It's that special time in the season here in New England, when the rains stop, the sun comes out and the temps go up. It's 72 out right now so I went for my first outdoor run of the season. I have been trying to get back into shape and lose weight. I am down about 10 pounds and I have been able to work up from 30 minutes to 42 minutes to 5K runs to 4.4 miles in 63 minutes on the treadmill downstairs in the last 6 weeks or so. About a week ago the treadmill broke and it was raining for days and days. Today was the first run outdoors since last fall and I was not only able to get up the 600' vertical hill on the course but make about 4 miles on the hilly course. Not a bad start but a long way to go.
By the way, the temps will be in the mid to upper 70's and then 81-86 on Monday for the Boston Marathon!!
