I got the Sony DSC-F828 in January after Urs convinced me that this is the camera to have, and have now found the time to thoroughly read the manuals and try all the different configurations / options it offers. Although I read some bad reviews on the image quality of this device, I have not seen a single flaw and think this device produces extraordinary pictures:
8 megapixels and 7 x optical zoom allow for quite some freedom that I never had in my digital cameras before. I tried the various burst-modes today and found the Multi-Burst absolutely hot. It creates one JPEG image that contains a sequence of photos which are taken with a gap of 1/7.5, 1/15 or 1/30 seconds. Looks like a good thing for taking pictures of sports, but I find the result also very artistic:
One downside is that Sony is hardly able to ship the device at the moment and that all accessories - from camera bag to external flash have been delayed "until further notice".
