Remember when Microsoft first introduced SmartTags years ago and people went bonkers, so much so that they ended up pulling them in many apps? Me too. IIRC, the uproar was over their use in IE because people assumed that Microsoft would put SmartTags with links to their own properties on other people's pages. Maybe that was the case. I don't know.
Regardless, they've been creeping back and their inclusion in VS 2005 is most welcome, as anyone that saw them in use at the PDC would attest. Anson Horton (yet another MSFT blogger I'll be subscribing to) shows how they'll be used to enhance one of VS.NET 2003's “cool, but...” features: Automatic interface implementation.
