After many delays and endless procrastination ( apologies to my editor ) I've started my article for DevX magazine on SOA and transactions. Even when it comes to layered architectures (LA), it is in many cases unclear how transactions should be handled, let alone in a still emerging field like SOA. First, let's take a look how transactions could be handled in a LA.
