Recently, the occurrences of spam have been increasing on my blog, and I've had a couple of attempts at automated attacks. So, I've enabled comment throttling. This will prevent users (IP addresses) from entering multiple comments within 60 seconds.
In addition, I will begin screening comments to eliminate those that don't add to the discussion (those like "nice site" or "amazing page, see ya later"). I will also filter URLs left that point to sites that are offensive.
Hopefully, this will help the readership of this blog by preventing spam garbage and offensive links.
