I got my big fat $13.86 check from the CD settlement, I guess that makes up for the hundreds and hundreds of CDs that they screwed me on. I am trying to decide the most contemptuous way to spend the money, maybe some blank CD-Rs or used CDs (since they don't get squat from those).... but in the end I have decided to donate my $13.86 to the EFF who is helping to fight what the RIAA is doing to internet users everywhere.
I encourage you do to the same thing, you can read about what the EFF is doing here.
(I did see that there are some RIAA legal defense funds out there, but I did not find one that I really trusted.)
