So, I'm watching DirecTV when I notice something peculiar. Whenever I bring up the program guide for the program that's currently running, there's at least a 10 second delay before the text description is delayed. Even worse, if I do it again, I get the same delay (no caching I guess). This happens on both of my receivers.

So, my question is, what is the bandwidth rate for downloading program information? Maybe all of the information for the time period (I think it's 90 minute chunks - because that's how long you can move along until you get another "downloading details" message). Anyway, based on the amount of information be retrieved, it looks a lot like 14.4KBPS.

Any thoughts??
