You can read the announcement from Sara Williams here. From a developer who uses Microsoft technologies everyday, I think it is great to see Microsoft enabling a blogging avenue for some many of their employees.

On a personal note, I am also quite thrilled to see the little project I started a little over a year ago being the driving tool behind this.
