CMS 2001 and CMS 2002 were shipped with a dependency on the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. If you are not already aware, the reason why this is so important is because Microsoft will no longer be authorized by Sun to support the MSJVM after 20 September 2004.

The dependency is solely in one of the administrative interfaces called 'Site Builder' in CMS 2001, and renamed to 'Site Manager' in CMS 2002. Updated versions of this interface for both 2001 and 2002, without this dependency, have been released to the web and can be found here ... CMS 2001 Site Builder Refresh and CMS 2002 Site Manager Refresh .

In addition, the installation of SP1 for CMS 2002, which was just released in September, will also remove the dependency ... CMS2002 SP1 download .
