Irmgard and I have decided to spend this Christmas holiday in Istaria. Where on earth that? Well - nowhere on earth, exactly.

Istaria is the world where the new MMPORG[1] "Horizons, Empire of Istaria" takes place. After a couple of years of playing Everquest, I thought that MMPORGs would not fascinate me so easily anymore. I tried a few that didn't interest me much, but Horizons is different. The wonderful world, the diverse race/class/job system and the option of playing as a dragon brought back the thrill of the old Everquest days.

So, that's where we spent a big deal of our holiday, and it did feel like a couple of days abroad, at a fraction of the cost :)

If you happen to play Horizons as well, say hi when you are online. I am called "Eyon Snowflake", currently level 20 dragon adventurer on the European "Ice" server.
