My colleague Michael O'Donovan emailed me ... Just wanted to let you know the http://www.thefa.com/ went live yesterday on CMS 2002. We have some very impressive performance/scale metrics from the solution. During testing they had 3 ISA servers, 2 CMS boxes and at maximum load had 21000 concurrent users serving 300 pages per second. Under less load it can serve approximately 400 pages per second. Well done Michael and the FA! Another great sporting CMS site is http://www.rugbyworldcup.com ...this site was hugely popular during the event and some great customer evidence material is on the way.

As part of the mission to deliver ongoing value to customers with the Office System, Microsoft will be delivering an Accelerator program which is an integrated set of software components, templates and Microsoft-authored architectural guidance. These are intended to help customers quickly realize more value from their Microsoft Office System software investments, and to assist industry partners in continuing to grow their businesses into new areas. Just announced is the Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley, planned for release in March 2004. This will provide technology automation that enables management to more easily meet the new government requirements mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley Act - this legislation provides specific reporting requirements for public companies. The accelerator provides a foundation on which companies or partners can build their compliance infrastructure and is built on top of the Office System platform, specifically Windows SharePoint Services and Office InfoPath 2003.
