I've seen some material recently on some of the changes that Fawcette is making to its VSLive conference line up, and I'm wondering if anyone will be convinced to attend based on the expanded scope. Many of the folks that I know that used to present at Fawcette conferences have now moved onto other venues, and idea of having six or seven conferences rolled into one doesn't seem that appealing to me. I know Fawcette has had a number of business issues, and while I'd like to see them stay afloat and continue to be part of the technology publishing community, I struggle to see how these changes to the conference line up are going to help. Who is the target audience for a conference that rolls the mobile development conference, speech technologies, .NET development (including a heavy VB focus) all into one event?
