I spoke today to Neil Slater, deputy MD of Domino Systems who told me of their new integrated offer combining the skills of accessibility, usability and search engine optimisation as one offer. The new service offering is called HAUS, denoting a holistic approach to accessibility, usability and search engine optimisation (SEO). Neil explained to me that if you focus purely on SEO then you're unlikely to end up with a site with good accessibility and usability ... an SEO specialist that focuses on the technical coding of a Web site in order to facilitate its spidering by crawler software can end up with a site that is awkward to use and one that fails accessibility tests. Domino are currently offering a FREE top level HAUS site evaluation to assess where enhancements would improve your site.
