Robert posted a link to this gem last night and I can't believe its not receiving more attention - maybe no one reads his blog-) The Improving .NET Application Performance and Scalability project and document is in Beta 1 but I can't believe how great the content is already. This is a must read for .NET Architects but I think it has exteremely relevant info and best practices for all serious .NET Programmers on Interop, Remoting, Enterprise Services, ASP.NET, Web Services, and Data Access.  Plus, like the other books above, there are extensive How-To articles such as how to use the CLR Profiler, ACT (Application Center Tester), EIF (Enterprise Instrumentation Framework), SQL Profiler. One of the best things I have encountered in quite a while. Wow, the more I look at this the more I say “this has everything!”
