Feed Description: I am a software simplist. I make this beast of architecting, analysing, designing, developing, testing, managing, deploying software systems simple.
This blog is about how I do it.
Well, after much talking about it, thinking about it, complaining about it,
I have started blogging.
I'm not really sure I can say exactly what I'm going to be talking about, and, I must say, I find it to be somewhat unusual to start writing at some anonymous URL and hoping that somebody will find it and read what I have to say.
The person that really (unknowingly) pushed me to blogging is Roy. We've met a couple of times at the local .NET user groups and I must say that I was flattered by his entry about me. I hope to return the compliments.
I think that my title - Simplist - deserves a word or two. For some time I've been trying to find a title that would fit me, going over the main ones ( Sofware architect, developer, programmer, power programmer, designer, engineer, tester, thinker, evangelist ... ) I found that I was a little bit of all of them. After some thought I began looking for ways to incorporate the pragmatic parts of my view on the world of software development. And then, that word just jumped into my mind, and all was well.

How do I do it ? Well, that's a very good question. I suppose that that's going to be what this blog will be about.
Also, there'll be quite a lot of .Net stuff, seeing as that's my tool of choice these days. Although I am getting more and more interested in what's going on the dynamic typing world. I view it as a way of decreasing the complexity of a system, as long as it is coupled with TDD.
Here's a quote that speaks volumes to me: "People seam to misinterpret complexity as sophistication." - Niklaus Wirth, the father of Pascal. Tell me what you think about this quote.
I'll probably end now seeing as I've run out of things to say. Maybe that's how you know that a blog entry is "done".
