I have spent some of my holidays catching up on a few movies that I have not had a
chance to see yet. Here goes:
Matrix Revolutions: Great.
No need to write about it. Go see it! Btw: I hear from a lot of people that didn't
like the ending. I however did like it. I only wonder if the Matrix
MMPORG will be able to pick up where the movies end. Judging from the way the
first Matrix game fits the story, I am optimistic however. My favorite Matrix episode
is still the Animatrix.
Raumpatrouille Orion - Rücksturz
ins Kino: Beautiful sixties design and wonderful dialogs! A lovely flick if
you are into design and old soaps. The only drawback was that I found the overall
story a little boring.
Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto's Interstella
5555: Daft Punks album "Discovery"
as one single, 70 minute video-clip that shows the story of the extraterrestrial band
being kidnapped and taken to earth to perform for an evil genius - and of course their
spectacular rescue. The whole is drawn as a wonderful Manga movie, beautifully synchronized
to the music. And there is not a single spoken word. Wow.
Herr Lehmann: A must-see for everyone
in the mid-thirties who sometimes wonders about the true meaning of life - and speaks
German (sorry!). Great, funny dialogs here too!
Quote: "Sag du mir nicht, dass es aus ist. Du hast mir überhaupt nicht zu sagen,
dass es aus ist.
Das ist mein Text. Und ich sag dir mal was: Katrin. Es ist aus!"
Cypher: I
never heard about this movie before picking it up at the local video store. From the
makers of "Cube", this is the story of two competing hi-tech mega-corporations in
the future - Digicorp and Sunway. They hire spies to infiltrate the competitor. The
hero gets caught between the two as such a spy. The story has many twists and a surprising
end. And - yes - he moves to Redmond, Washington where one of the corporations is
located. What did you think?
