Microsoft announced that the next generation of Xbox gaming consoles (probably due out in another 1-2 years) will be based on an un-named IBM chipset. The GameCube system currently uses the IBM PowerPC chip, and the next generation of the Sony Playstation is rumored to be using the IBM "Cell" chip.
