Just received an email from my PDC hotel, the Omni Hotel Los Angeles, with a confirmation for the Internet access:

Hello Mr. Weyer,

We have free wireless internet. You just need a wireless internet card in your laptop to recieve the signal. You can access our free wireless signal in the bar and in your guest room. If you don't have one, you can rent it from us for $9.95 per day.
