So, what would have Bizarro Microsoft done in the last three years?

1) Release three new versions of Windows, with lots of small updates and features instead of saving it all up for one inevitably delayed release.
2) Instead of re-writing unit and test coverage in Visual Studio Team System they would have funded NUnit and NCover and then bundled them with Visual Studio.
3) Included testing tools in Visual Studio 2005 Professional and not just Team System.
4) Added support for Prototype to ASP.NET instead of writing Atlas.
5) Decided on which next-gen DVD platform to support based on technical specs and not monetary gains.
6) Added a good MVC framework to ASP.NET 2.0 instead of dozens of declarative controls.

What do you wish MS had done differently in the recent past?

To be fair Microsoft has done some things right: I love the XBox 360, Generics and Anonymous Methods, VS 2005, and more.
