One of the best comics available in any form is Penny Arcade. In the few short years of its existence, it has transformed itself from a in-joke comic strip about gamers to cutting commentary on, well, anything that seems to be worth commenting about (not to mention a money-raising tour-de-force, as they approach over half a million dollars raised for kids this holiday).

In point of demonstration: Friday's comic and related news post. The comic manages to distill its ideas into a non-traditional yet hysterical send-up of Wikipedia. More impressive, though, is the eloquence expressed in the news post. I've always envied Tycho's ability to say so much, so succinctly. He absolutely savages Wikipedia for all the right reasons.
