If you don't already have it, download Spybot Search & Destroy. This little utility is great at searching and finding all those annoying spyware trinkets on your PC. It's also has a BHO (browser helper object) that prevents downloads of known SpyWare items while browsing. SpyBot even has an update service that allows you to download new threats directly from the SaferNewtorking.org site. It's Donation-Ware, but well worth the download time and a few bucks!
