Microsoft released Live Meeting, it's newest entry into the real-time conferencing market. Live will be integrated with Microsoft Outlook 2003 and the MSN Messenger, so that users can access conferences directly from their messaging clients.
Live Meeting differs from NetMeeting in that is requires a central server service that hosts the meeting (instead of being peer to peer). The service costs $75-$150 per month per client license.
In the future, look for Microsoft to integrate this technology into the Windows operating system (like the MSN Messenger service).
