The Oakland A's are getting hot at the right time. With a 9-game winning streak, and a 20-9 August record, the A's now have a 2 game lead in the AL West and a 3.5 game lead in the wild card race over slumping Boston.

Miguel Tejada and Eric Chavez are slamming the ball (well over .350 in August), which is the main reason the A's are hot.
