Well, it's official! I'll be presenting for CNUG in June:
June Meeting
Wednesday,
June 15, 2005
DataDirect
Sponsors the June Meeting of the Chicago .NET Users Group.
6:30PM - Pizza and Beverages
7:00PM - DataDirect technical presentation
8:00PM - Object-Relational Mapping: Frameworks and Approaches,
Sean McCormack - Miller Brewing Company.
Object-Relational Mapping: Frameworks and Approaches
This presentation will discuss the problems associated with object-relational mapping
and how to solve them. Sean will discuss approaches for design-time mapping (attributes,
code-generation, etc.) and run-time mapping (xml files, prevalence, etc.). He’ll
then demonstrate and compare some of the leading ORM frameworks to include nHibernate,
Wilson ORMapper, Gentle.NET, Codus and LLBLGen.
I would be very interested in attending as we have been discussing the pro's and cons of various approaches to the whole ORM issue. I cannot find out from the CNUG site where this meeting will be held. Can you please send me the time/place for this meeting? Thanks.
