I clicked view --> source in GMail today for some reason and I noticed something interesting.  There was a link to an ATOM feed for gmail.  The URL is https://gmail.google.com/gmail/feed/atom and it displays your new mail.

It's semi-pointless since most of us use the notifier app, but cool none the less.  When I looked for data about it I found out that there is a blurb in the help section for gmail about it HERE.
