This is pretty cool.  iTunes has sold nearly 100 million songs so far.  Not too shabby if I say so myself.  Now I know that probably pales in comparison to how many CDs were sold in the same span of time, but still I think that is amazing that they have gotten this far.

Even I have iTunes installed.  The Pepsi promo where they gave a song away in 1 in 3 20oz bottles was genius.  It got me (A hardcore Microsoft whore who programs ASP and ASP.NET for MSSQL and IIS, and who reads at least 100 Microsoft related blogs) to install iTunes and I play with it at least once a week still.

To celebrate they are giving away a bunch of iPods, a laptop and one gift certificate for 10000 (yes ten thousand) songs.  Not too shabby.
