So I am not the best poker player in the world, but I thought a little real money online might teach me to bet on the right cards so I put $40 in at Pokerroom a few weeks ago and blew through it in a weekend. I did tournaments that you have to place to make any money and I rarely placed.
Then last weekend I deposited $50 and started playing a little tighter. I did okay sometimes and was up as much $30 at one time, but I guess my luck went bad for a while because I was down to about $20.
Well I guess my luck changed because I was playing on a 25 cent table and I ended up with a ROYAL FLUSH! Not only that, but it was a royal flush in diamonds so that means I won $500! Plus the other people at the table all won $50. Pretty cool huh? I have a check for $400 on the way and I left the rest in there to play some tournaments and fool around with.
That really brightened the weekend for me. Saturday I was a pallbearer at a funeral and Sunday I was $500 richer.
