Not too long ago I posted some pictures of my engagement. Now those pics I will admit are not really for the public, they were more of a way to show my dispersed family around the United States some pictures of my big day.  The goal for the post was accomplished; My family saw the ring and the flowers, I have a place online that my girlfriend can go to so she can show her friends the flowers I bought her that day, and I can try to hold on to that post for a long time to come as a keepsake.

Fine, good, great, I had a post that fulfilled it’s function. I realized though that the engagement post alone would not be useful for the rest of the world. So that is why I have decided to further document what is to come. The dreaded marriage preparation [Cue suspenseful music].

I think the level of detail that I write will be governed exclusively by whether or not this angers the fiancée.  My goal is to help those poor souls that are in my shoes by showing you what happens to me and maybe at the end I could say what went right and what could have been smoother.

I am looking forward to writing up my experiences thus far in the next post in this category.
